President Truman has ordered seizure of steel industry to avert strike .... The Tryon Horse Show trophies are now on display in the windows of the Blue Ridge Weavers. Mrs. Wm. E. Have lunch at one of those places adver tising in the Bulletin and tune ip WSPA at 12:30 for radio program .Continued On Back Page_ Gaden Corpening Addresses Tryon Lions Club On Tuesday Gaden Corpening, manager of Eskdale Farms and Dairy, was the guest speaker at the Tryon Lions Club Tuesday night at Oak Hall and gave an outline of the prepar ation of soil for pastures to pro duce feed for dairy stock, and then gave some of the methods of producing and caring for the cows, .including artificial breeding, constant checking, feeding and milking on a regular schedule every eight hours in order to be pre pared for inspection by State Col lege specialists. Mr. Corpening said no two cows are fed alike. Each has her own personality and demands special attention to get the best results. 1 he Eskdale herd is one of the top registered herds in the state. Guests at the meeting included Glen Bemisderfer, Mill Spring; Henry Gilbert, Tryon and Miss Sara Cain, Toledo, O. Committee for the Blind re ported that arrangements had been made for the purchase of nine pairs of glasses for some children in the Tryon colored school.
